book report – 17 nov 2015
This week I finished two books, The Splendid Things We Planned: A Family Portrait by Blake Bailey and Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert.
Yesterday Flight Behavior: A Novel by Barbara Kingsolver and Watermelon by Marian Keyes arrived on my hold shelf at the library.
I will continue to read these this week:
- Women & Money: Owning the Power to Control Your Destiny by Suze Orman. Time for me to be sure I understand the family’s financial status and how we should plan for the future.
I gave up on Welcome to Night Vale by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor. Just not my thing.
Still have The Old Ways: A Journey on Foot by Robert Macfarlane on my bedside table.
I am still slowly making my way through The College Solution: A Guide for Everyone Looking for the Right School at the Right Price (2nd Edition) by Lynn O’Shaughnessy and Colleges That Change Lives: 40 Schools That Will Change the Way You Think About Colleges by Loren Pope. I think soon we’ll be using all the information we’ve gleamed from these.
I keep a list of completed books on Goodreads. I also keep one here on my blog.
