book report – 22 sep 2015
This week, I read a little more. It’s been a bit crazy with a big upcoming deadline at work, taking care of everything around the house while Rob has been gone and managing everything else. I have barely had time to breathe, yet alone read.
I did manage to get in enough reading time to finish two library books. The first was One Summer by David Baldacci. A nice summer read about a family taking the time to slow down (sigh). I also read Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver which was a page-turner with a little twist.
I am still slowly making my way through The College Solution: A Guide for Everyone Looking for the Right School at the Right Price (2nd Edition) by Lynn O’Shaughnessy. I find it to be quite helpful.
I bought a new Colleges That Change Lives: 40 Schools That Will Change the Way You Think About Colleges by Loren Pope, but haven’t had time to re-start reading it yet.
I have read another couple of chapters of The Old Ways: A Journey on Foot by Robert Macfarlane, but I don’t want to rush through it. I really want to savor it, so I’m not rushing through it.
I keep a list of completed books on Goodreads. I also keep one here on my blog.
