snow in Pine Lake

we spent much of the day yesterday waiting. anticipating. and then finally, it came. and dumped a whole lot of snow very fast. the girls and i headed out as the accumulation grew. heavy, heavy snow — great for snowballs! We had a snowball throwing contest. As we tossed snowballs into the lake, a curious duck came to see. then the geese, thinking we were tossing food into the lake, flew over and starting pecking at the floating snowballs.

after dinner, we headed back out again for more snow fun. the girls rolled giant balls of snow — so giant that they could sit on them! what fun it is when it snows!
