Atlanta Botanical Garden: Scarecrows
At last! With all the traveling we did in September and October, I had been feeling terribly behind on everything. Everything. This past weekend, I managed to conquer my to-do list and wrestle it into a manageable size.
Feeling less frenetically anxious, I decided that we could try to fit in a few outings this week. On the top of the list was the Atlanta Botanical Garden to see the Scarecrows in the Garden exhibit before it closes on Halloween!
Going to the garden is always fun trip down memory lane for us. Camille and I went for the first time in 2001. While that doesn’t sound like it was that long ago the garden has gone though a series of major changes since then (as has our family…). I feel like an “old folk”, saying “Do you remember when the entrance used to be over here?”
The girls love being at the garden, looking for frogs and watching the butterflies. I love taking photos of all the gorgeous flowers. Today we saw pomegranates hanging on their “bushes” and lots of fall flowers. Camille decided she’d love to have a quiet japanese garden as a yard. But, of course, the scarecrows were the highlight today! Such creative designs — the girls though so many of them were “Awesome”!
