we’re moving – again.
As I’ve mentioned here and there, we’re moving again. It was only about 16 months ago that we moved here to our condo and now we’re getting ready to pack up once again.
This move is going to be very different from our last move. We don’t need a moving truck. We don’t need to haul our stuff up or down in the elevator. We’re moving 100 feet down the hall to a new unit.
We don’t need to downsize (nor upsize). We don’t need to plan a new layout of furniture. We are moving into a unit that is almost identical to the one we live in now — modulo the fact that it is a mirror image. I can imagine that we’ll be walking into walls as we get used to the flipped layout.
So, same floorplan, same floor. Why go through the pain of a home purchase and a move?
Because of this:
and this:
There’s a view! A real view. Instead of facing north and looking at the parking deck, we’ll be facing west looking at W. Ponce, trees and even some of the midtown rooftops off in the distance.
And so now we’re deep into preparing the new condo for the move — cleaning up, repairing, painting, ordering new blinds, etc.
