photo friday: tybee island light station
While we were Tybee Island back in September, our campground was just up the street from the Tybee Island Light Station and Museum. On Saturday morning, we walked over to explore. Unfortunately, when we got there, we were informed that no bags are allowed in. Not wanting to walk all the way back to the campground, I was at a loss as to what to do. At last, I was allowed to leave my backpack in the gift shop and they gave me a little bag in which to carry my phone, wallet and keys.
Camille was fascinated with all the buildings in the station. Chloe enjoyed the keeper’s house with much of the original furniture. And then, finally, we worked up the nerve to climb to the top of the light house … what a view!
But what we all loved was the Tybee Museum across the street (included in light station admission) was a surprise. Buried in the Garland Battery, it was a maze filled with lots of tasty tidbits of Tybee Island history. Highly recommended!
This is an entry for Delicious Babyโs Photo Friday.

I’ve read several posts about beautiful lighthouses lately. They’re all just so picturesque!
