The girls and I are home again from DC. We are unpacked and just about caught up on most things, though I do have a large to-do list for work waiting for me to tackle it. Helping Rob move to DC was a bit surreal. It felt like helping a kid go off to college….

Rob’s New Pad
If you are intrigued, visit Rob’s Blog… The apartment is in Foggy Bottom, 9ish blocks from the White House and next door to the Ritz-Carlton. Our accommodations are not quite up to Ritz standards. More like grad student standards. But the apartment is clean, is amazingly located and has an incredible rooftop patio/pool. It is…
At the apartment
The apartment doesn’t have Internet yet and is terrace level (no patio), but it does have this awesome rooftop pool! We are next door to the Ritz…
The Big Little Move
Today starts our DC adventure! Rob packed the car last night, not leaving room for me and the girls to bring clothes. Hmmph. He rearranged, taking out some Legos(!) so that we could fit in our bag of clothes. We’ll be back to Georgia in a couple of days after helping him move in and…

We’re in NYC now…

Road Trip
The girls and I headed up to Washington DC for an XM Kids Rumpus Room concert. We got to see one of our favorites, The Hipwaders! While there, we went to the Postal Museum, Union Station, many Smithsonian Museums on the Mall and stayed at L’Enfant Plaza! It was a great weekend, and we can’t…
Union Station

As you can see, ten minutes later, the station became quite a zoo: Suspicious Package Stops Union Station Trains Briefly By Joshua ZumbrunWashington Post Staff WriterFriday, November 16, 2007; 4:28 PM Traffic was temporarily halted at Union Station this…
